I arrived at Union Station one summer morning to photograph the building and stopped the moment I saw this passage. Morning light moved across the stone columns while the coffered ceiling and globe lamps repeated toward a distant opening.
After the rush had passed, I waited for the walkway to clear and made the photograph in the brief moment when the architecture stood alone.
