Standing just outside Lincoln Park's Nature Boardwalk pavilion, I waited until the usually busy structure was completely empty. Its repeating wooden curves form a natural frame around the Chicago skyline, with the Hancock centered in the distance.
Black and white emphasize the pavilion's symmetry, texture, and extraordinary structure while the darker interior draws the eye toward the sunlit city beyond.
