This photograph was made inside the Milwaukee Art Museum, in the long interior hallway designed by Santiago Calatrava. The repeating arches stretch from floor to ceiling and carry the eye toward a wash of light at the far end, where the geometry softens and a single figure walks through the frame.

Shot in black and white, the image removes all distractions and lets the architecture speak in pure form. The reflective floor doubles the rhythm of the ribs, and the contrast between the darkened foreground columns and the glowing corridor beyond gives the scene a depth that rewards a long look.
